Some patients want more shape around the hips or buttocks without committing to a Brazilian Butt Lift, implants, or a larger surgical plan. Others have a small dip, flat spot, or contour irregularity that would benefit from volume, but they do not have enough fat for traditional fat transfer. Still, other patients are looking for extra coverage of implant borders to make a smoother transition and hide the breast implant borders. AlloClae offers a more focused option.
At MidAmerica Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa in Glen Carbon, AlloClae is used for hip dips and buttock contouring, areas around the breast, or any area to provide cushioning and support to your body where adipose tissue naturally exists.

AlloClae is a donor-derived structural adipose filler used for non-surgical body contouring. It contains non-living fat tissue components and is intended to provide cushioning, support, and volume in localized areas where fat naturally exists.
AlloClae is not a traditional dermal filler, an implant, or a Brazilian Butt Lift. It also differs from surgical fat grafting because fat does not have to be harvested from your body with liposuction before it is processed and placed. Every patient needs a consultation before treatment so Dr. Ryan Diederich and the MidAmerica team can confirm that AlloClae is the right fit for the area, amount of correction, and overall goal.
Your AlloClae treatment begins with an exam and a conversation about your goals. Your provider will look at your hip dips, buttock shape, breast contour, skin quality, tissue thickness, and any contour irregularities before deciding where volume should be placed. This is also when your medical history, allergies, current medications, and safety considerations are reviewed.
On the day of treatment, the treatment area is marked and prepared. Local injectable anesthesia is used to help numb the area. AlloClae is then placed under the skin, or subcutaneously, in selected areas of the buttocks using the technique chosen by your medical provider. Because a small incision is needed for cannula placement, AlloClae procedures at MidAmerica are performed only when Dr. Diederich is in the office.
Patients will have sutures placed at the insertion sites on both sides and will return for suture removal. Dressings are applied after treatment, and some drainage from the insertion sites can be normal during the first 24 to 48 hours.

AlloClae is used when the issue is volume deficiency, not fat removal. In the buttock and hip area, it may help restore volume lost with aging or weight changes, improve mild flattening, smooth selected contours, soften the appearance of hip dips, or improve transitions around the buttocks.
The goal is usually contour refinement and natural-looking volume rather than a dramatic increase in buttock size. If you want a major size change or buttock augmentation, Dr. Diederich may talk with you about surgical fat grafting, liposuction, or another body contouring option instead.
For MidAmerica patients, AlloClae is most relevant for hip dips and buttock contouring. It can be placed in selected areas where fat naturally exists to help smooth a dip, round a transition, or support a flatter area.
Some patients need only a small amount of product for a slight deficit or irregularity. Others may need a larger volume to treat both sides of the buttocks more fully. During your consultation, your provider will explain what AlloClae can realistically improve and how much product may be needed.
We can also address other areas of the breast for contouring especially for contouring around implants.
AlloClae is a great option for treating contour anywhere fat exists.

Traditional fat grafting uses your own fat. Dr. Diederich removes fat with liposuction from an area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs, processes it, and places the transferred fat where more volume is desired. This can be a strong option for patients who have enough fat and want a more surgical body contouring plan.
AlloClae is different because it uses donor-derived adipose tissue and does not require a fat-harvesting step. That can make it appealing for lean patients, patients with small contour concerns, or those who want a focused non-surgical body treatment rather than liposuction plus fat transfer. It is not a replacement for every fat grafting case. If surgical fat grafting would give a better result for your anatomy, Dr. Diederich will explain why.
AlloClae gives patients another way to address small to moderate volume concerns in the hips and buttocks. It can be especially helpful when the treatment area needs soft support rather than fat reduction.

AlloClae may be right for healthy adults who want subtle to moderate volume improvement around the hips or buttocks and have realistic expectations about what non-surgical body contouring can achieve. It may be a good fit if you have hip dips, mild buttock flattening, a small volume deficit, or a contour irregularity that would benefit from added support.
AlloClae may not be recommended if you have severe allergen sensitivities, a history of anaphylaxis, or an active infection. It may also be the wrong choice if you want a dramatic increase in buttock size, need skin removal, or would be better served by fat grafting, liposuction, or another surgical procedure.
After AlloClae, it is normal to have swelling, bruising, tenderness, soreness, a feeling of fullness or tightness, and temporary unevenness as swelling changes. Some improvement may be visible right away, but the treated area will continue to settle as swelling resolves.
Unless your provider tells you otherwise, keep the treatment area clean and follow your post-treatment wound-care instructions. You may shower to keep the insertion sites clean, but you should not submerge in water until your sutures have been removed. Avoid strenuous exercise until your provider says it is safe, and avoid hot tubs, saunas, excessive heat, massage, manipulation, or pressure on the treated area unless specifically directed. Take medications only as recommended by your healthcare provider.
AlloClae is designed to provide long-lasting volume and contour improvement. Because individual results vary, there is no specific time period that can be guaranteed. Current published studies show results maintained beyond one year after treatment, though weight changes, aging, and individual tissue characteristics may affect how long your results remain noticeable.
Your early shape may look fuller because of swelling. As the area settles, your final contour becomes easier to judge. Dr. Diederich and the MidAmerica team will talk with you about what level of improvement is realistic based on your anatomy, treatment goals, and the amount of product used.

AlloClae pricing varies because treatment time and product amount depend on your anatomy and goals. A patient with a slight deficit or small irregularity may need one kit, while a patient treating larger buttock volume concerns may need up to 100ml or more. Since every patient is different, a consultation is required to determine the cost of your treatment.
Your provider will determine how much time to schedule for your procedure during your consultation. Because a small incision is made for cannula placement, AlloClae procedures are scheduled when Dr. Diederich is in the office. MidAmerica Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa offers PatientFi and CareCredit financing options for qualified patients.

AlloClae is intended for subcutaneous application in localized areas where adipose tissue naturally exists. The manufacturer states that it should not be used in patients with severe allergen sensitivities, a history of anaphylaxis, or an active infection.
Potential complications may include pain, infection, bruising or hematoma, cyst or nodule formation, skin discoloration, and allergic, immune, or other hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis. During your consultation, your provider will review your medical history and talk through the risks that may apply to you.

AlloClae works best when the treatment plan is specific. A hip dip may need volume. A fuller area may need liposuction. A patient who wants a larger buttock change may need fat grafting. At MidAmerica Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa, Dr. Diederich helps patients sort through those options with a fact-forward conversation about what will and will not work for their body.
AlloClae is priced at $3,500 per 25ml kit at MidAmerica Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa. Final cost varies based on how many kits are needed, the treatment area, and the complexity of your plan. PatientFi and CareCredit financing options are available for qualified patients.
